A visit from Beanie at in Ayacucho

“Every single hat, scarf and headband is made from the heart - and the best part? Everything is WFTO Fairtrade certified!” -Beanie.at

Nothing makes us more proud then seeing our partners take a trip to the other end of the world to connect with the artisans who produce their collections. Susanne from beanie.at is one of those dear customers we produce custom knitwear for from our workshop in Peru. Every now and then, she brings a visit to our knitters. Not only to see first hand her creativity and dreams come to live, but also to truly connect with these talented women responsible for the production of her brand.

“This time, we gained much deeper insight into the project, asked many questions, and learned more about the women, the Ayacucho project, and the organization behind it. Even though I’ve visited several times before, my understanding of the project continues to grow richer and more detailed with each trip.”

Making a true impact as an entrepeneur isn’t an easy thing to do. You need to find a partner to work with, people who truly understand what fair trade stands for and guide you in the entire production process. As our workshop in Peru is growing, we are continuously looking for more partners to create custom knitwear for. So we can ensure sustainable jobs ment to impact more families and generations to come.

“At first sight, it’s a knitting workshop, but when you look closer, it’s so much more. I truly admire the work you do and the philosophy behind it, and I’m grateful to be a part of it. This time, I was especially moved by how many people, how many women, and how many stories are behind it all. Each story piqued my interest. While we could only hear a few, I was deeply touched by them.”
